France and Spain launch Tiger MkIII programme
OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Cooperation), on behalf of the French and Spanish Armament General Directorate, the DGA (Direction Générale de l’Armement) and the DGAM (Dirección General de Armamento y Material) has awarded a contract to Airbus Helicopters for the development, production, and initial in-service support of the Tiger MkIII.

Airbus Flight Academy Europe (AFAE), a 100% subsidiary of Airbus, has inaugurated a new campus, in Angoulême, South-West France. During the ceremony, Airbus confirmed that Volotea, the Barcelona-based airline, is the first to recruit its Airbus pilot cadets.

Airbus pilot cadets to be recruited by Volotea
Airbus has confirmed that Volotea, the Barcelona-based airline, is to recruit eleven of its Airbus pilot cadets. The move is an endorsement of the quality of Airbus’ Ab-Initio Training Programme, which opened its doors in 2018. The programme equips cadets with the skills and mindset needed to become an “operationally-ready pilot”, focusing on the development of key pilot competencies.

Voice of the customer – Singapore Airlines on its A350F order
At the Singapore Airshow 2022, Singapore Airlines (SIA) firmed up orders for seven Airbus A350Fs, with options for five more. These aircraft will eventually replace SIA’s seven Boeing 747-400Fs. The Airline will be the first carrier to operate this new-generation widebody freighter aircraft when deliveries begin in the fourth quarter of 2025.
