AIMS:
Our vision is to create a healthcare ecosystem that excels in providing unparalleled patient care, fostering excellence in undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) medical education, and spearheading integrative clinical research and public health initiatives.
OBJECTIVES
Quality Education
1. To cultivate a learning environment that not only imparts cutting-edge medical knowledge to our students but also instils in them a sense of empathy and ethical responsibility
2. To become centre of excellence by establishing Professionalism and Soft Skills Development Centres, Global Health Electives and Exchanges
Public Health
1. Upholding the authentic principles of Ayurveda in order propagate health of well beings worldwide through outreach activities.
2. To assist the Ministry of AYUSH in achieving mandate in the area of improvement and propagation of ayurveda on the international front, collaboration with foreign countries for bilateral cooperation in education, publication, research.
Community Engagement1. To engage with local, national, and global communities by promoting awareness of preventive healthcare through Ayurveda, conducting health camps, workshops, and educational programs that foster a healthy lifestyle rooted in traditional wisdom.
2. To build strong partnerships with public and private organizations to expand the reach of Ayurveda and its potential in addressing global health challenges, particularly in underserved populations.
In academics, the Department of Ayurvedic General Medicine will focus on providing high-quality education through a structured curriculum that integrates both classical Ayurvedic principles and modern medical knowledge. It will emphasize experiential learning, case-based discussions, and hands-on training in diagnosing and managing various diseases using Ayurvedic therapies. The department will also enhance research-oriented thinking, encouraging students to explore interdisciplinary studies that contribute to evidence-based Ayurvedic practices. Additionally, it will offer skill development programs, workshops, and clinical exposure to ensure students are well-prepared for both clinical practice and future academic pursuits.
Research
1. To become Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Integrative Clinical Research focusing on Interdisciplinary research. It involves seamlessly integrating insights from various disciplines, such as biochemistry, pharmacology, genomics, and traditional medicine, to create a unified and comprehensive body of knowledge that contributes to the advancement of both Ayurveda and modern medicine.
2. To develop protocols of research and management of various disorders based on Ayurvedic principles of management.
3. Dedicated to delving into the intricate mechanism pathways underlying Ayurveda medicine and therapies. to bridge the gap between traditional Ayurvedic practices and modern scientific understanding by unraveling the molecular, cellular, and physiological mechanisms through which Ayurvedic interventions exert their therapeutic effects
4. Contributing to Global Health - The research conducted will contribute to evidence-based Ayurveda, enhancing its role in addressing contemporary health challenges, and expanding its global reach and acceptance.
The Department of Ayurvedic General Medicine offers comprehensive patient care through its OPD, IPD, and specialized Panchakarma services. It provides personalized treatments by integrating Ayurvedic principles with modern diagnostics to manage chronic conditions and promote overall health. The department focuses on holistic, preventive care, ensuring patient safety and comfort through continuous monitoring and follow-ups.
