Jason Blum is responsible for guiding both VFXnow and GPL’s technology strategy, including the development of next generation solutions to meet its customers’ needs in the areas of infrastructure, networking, media production and media management. He also leads the company’s engineering team, oversees human resources, and manages internal and back-office operations.
Jason is a talented technologist, writer and media production specialist, with more than 25 years of experience in designing, deploying and supporting integrated systems for organizations ranging from boutiques and non-profits to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining GPL in 2010, he served as CTO of Miracle Data Corporation, a Southern Californiabased managed services specialist. His background also includes five years as a systems administrator with Intel.
Additionally, Jason is an experienced music producer and mastering engineer with more than 40 original musical releases and official remixes for major label talent. He was co-founder of the electronic music group Deepsky and an editor at large for Future Music Magazine.
