After a multilayer effort that engaged stakeholders across campus, the official website of Govt. Ambala Muslim Graduate College, Sargodha is now live. The all new website, launched on Monday, November 6, is intended to be a 'one-stop-shop' for information and resources directed to prospective students and their families.
The website, designed and managed by the IT Department of the college under the guidance of Principal GAMGC, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Azhar Abbas, will serve as an information hub of the programs being offered, admission policies, fee structure, department and faculty profiles as well as the course outlines.
The website's other content includes student resources like E-library and timetable as well as links to news and events, press releases and other resources that the public may find useful.
The college’s new virtual presence also mirrors the growth and changing landscape of its programs and departments, which have been rapidly evolving over the past few years. GAMGC offers both undergraduate and graduate opportunities for students, all of which are now accessible and comparable through the site’s academic portal. Pages within this section feature a content explorer for programs, allowing students to quickly navigate to programs of interest for information and comparison. Admission, financial aid information and application questions have been centralized into a graduate admission hub, aiming to provide information in a more streamlined and efficient manner.
The design and build of the new website spanned over six months, including a usability study with prospective and current graduate and undergraduate students, ensuring that decisions about content, layout and design were made with the user in mind. The website also features search functionality that allows users to search by category or keywords.
New and enhanced features are in our development pipeline, including an improved navigation structure and links to detailed research profiles of the teaching staff.
Addressing the audience, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Azhar Abbas, Principal GAMGC,Muhammad Ramzan,Ibrar Hussain and members of the staff particularly Hafiz Muhammad Imran Wahab, Head of IT dept. and highlighted the importance of virtual connectivity. He also distributed certificates of appreciation among the students.
