Happy New Years everybody, hope you all have a nice and safe one !Homely we finally got snow last night, only an inch that came with sleet before the snow so lots of accidents and closed roads. December was the warmest and rainiest on record, it rained all day christmas eve and christmas day so it didn't feel at all like christmas.

So Homely did you get your snow ?That's nice that you've got your shopping done and are ready for christmas and like you, I always enjoyed holidays falling on monday or fridays so that I had that extra long weekend and having it fall on monday means having time to bake but I preferred holidays falling on friday so I don't have to get up the next day for work and now I do very little baking so I don't need much food prep time. I'ld like to wish everybody on Opentopia a very Merry Christmas !

Merry Christmas to you, as well, N Q - love the tobaggan story, too! Thought of you on my way in to work this morning because, lo and behold, we have had a cold snap and they are treating all the highways for winter weather. Time will tell. I think I have particularly enjoyed the season this year because having Christmas Day fall on a Monday means I have a whole weekend to get ready. It has really relieved the pressure, and I'm actually ready a little earlier than normal this year, too. Probably that's because our daughter keeps prompting me to do things like make lists and take advantage of online shopping! Have a wonderful time and I'm sure we will catch up after the holidays, if not sooner.
