History : Hari Narayan Foundation (HNF) was formed in 2019 by a group of social activists getting inspired by great freedom fighters and social educators like Mahatma Gandhi, Acharya Vinoba Bhave and Loknayak Jaiprakash Narayan. It works in Kanpur Nagar district in Uttar Pradesh. The Vision of Hari Narayan Foundation (HNF) is to establish a people led society where no one remains hungry, unemployed, uneducated and exploited and the mission is to empower poor people through social cohesiveness and livelihood creation with special emphasis on socio-economic empowerment of Rural and Urban Dalit, Minorities, Deprived Section like farmers, unemployed youth, illiterate demos, labors and destitute women & children. We have a good infrastructure and competent human resources.

Organizations primary area of focus : The organization through its programmes and activities towards creating awareness, building organization in order to enhance collective bargaining power, developing their skill, education and health of women and children to increase the quality of life of these deprived section.

The Vision and Mission : The vision of Hari Narayan Foundation is to established a people led society where no remains hungry, unemployed, uneducated and exploited. The mission is to empower rural and urban the poor through social cohesiveness and livelihood creation. HNF gives special emphasis on socio economic empowerment of most deprived section including neglected poor downtrodden and other communities & to educate children (Male & Female both) of these section (deprived section) at least to primary level.

Organizational Information:

Brief Background of the organization : "Hari Narayan Foundation" is outcome of association of young and committed youth inspired by Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan. The group informally involved with society and found that condition of Rural and Urban Dalit, Minorities, Deprived Section like farmers, unemployed youth, illiterate demos, labors and destitute women & children, is very poor and treated as most neglected community of the society. Taking this situation into account the group of people started working with this community in the year 2016 but with the intention to institutionalize the effort in 2019 the association finally got registered under able leadership of social activist Ms. Preeti Sharma with long established vision "To bring these section (Mention above) into the main stream of the society through promoting people center approach of development". Thus "Contacting women, children, farmers, labors and youths, organization building, awareness and developing their skill" has become mission of HNF.
