- Slab was supported with additional structural steel members.
- Entire external plaster was chipped and replaced with new plaster.
Aditya Birla Centre
Worli Mumbai – 2019-20

Problem: –
- Old Structure and having low grade of concrete.
- Need to increase load bearing capacity of the structure.
- Dis-stress signs were observed in the RCC members.
- Corrosion in the RCC member can be observed.
Solution: –
- Core column was jacketed with micro-concrete and additional steel.
- Carbon fiberwraaping was done for additional strengthening.
- Rust remover and Anti-corrosive was done on the rusted RCC member.
- Grouting was done to increase micro structure of the concrete.

Problem
- Low concrete strength (10 MPa) and inadequate axial load capacity was observed
- Additional strong room load over the columns
- Corrosion damages were observed
- Being a heritage structure, no demolition work was allowed.
Solution:
- RCC members were treated for corrosion damages and polymer modified mortar was used to rebuild sections.
- Axial load carrying capacity of circular columns was increased using multiple layers of GFRP.
