Welcome to Visual Communication Consultants
Join us on our journey throughout the Kimberley and Pilbara visiting towns and workplaces, or have our friendly consultant visit you.
Visual Communication Consultants is a Broome based business, established in 2014.
We have helped and advised countless clients to communicate with deaf and complex communication needs people.
Michelle Lewin is the face behind Visual Communication Consultants, and she has a personal connection having spent her childhood with her deaf foster brother,
who 35 years ago, was forbidden to sign and would get his hands smacked at school.
This led to her sister and herself trying to learn what they could and her foster brother teaching them what he knew, so that they could communicate.
This has made Michelle passionate about what she does, making her a great trainer!
Did you know that Visual Communication Consultants is a registered NDIS Provider?
This means you can now use your NDIS funding for your Auslan, Signed English, Key Word Signing and Interpreting.
What our Clients are saying ..
The Key Word Sign Beginners Workshop was fantastic! Thank you so much Michelle.
The hands on learning really helped to develop the knowledge you were giving us.
Play dough game was awesome!!
Michelle was a friendly engaging and very experienced presenter who had us all signing in no time.
I can hardly wait to use key signs in our classroom, to communicate more clearly with our students.
Thank you Michelle!
I really enjoyed this workshop – it was interesting all day.
Loved that we got to do all the signs not just watch and listen.
I feel confident to begin using some of the signs already 🙂
I really loved how Michelle would help us with other words (signs) while we were struggling with our sentences.
It was great how it was a more informal atmosphere but a lot of information was learnt.
Thank you for keeping it fun and engaging with the activities and quiz.
The humour was also great!
Great workshop, love being able to use the sign handshapes to understand how, why, what with this program.
Great supportive presenter, will be looking for more workshops!
